| Abstract | Major aspects of medical deontology are discussed with respect to elderly patients, such as "do no harm" and "do good" principles, principles of justness and patients' rights. The importance of considering psychological characteristics of this age group is emphasized. Deontological errors ensuing from the lack of attention on the part of physicians to patients of this category and from the underestimation of the age factor are discussed. |
